Livin’ Good in the Core Shack
It’s like a nursery for rocks. In the Core Shack dozens of core samples lie cradled in little wooden beds, all lined up for viewers to admire. Stop by and have a look; maybe pick out your favourite. For mining companies in the Core Shack, showing off their finds is an important part of getting their voice heard at Roundup.
International Tower Hill Ltd. has reason to be excited; their rocks are chalk full of gold! They have come to get the word out about their exciting new Livengood Project in Alaska. The company is all set to start phase 2 of development with more resource drilling come February. Located near Fairbanks, they currently employ 20 grad students from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and are hoping to draw more employees from the community. They have come to meet, greet, and have some fun! To that end, International Tower Hill is a sponsor of Alaska Night, a fun-filled evening taking place Wednesday evening in the Marine Room.
There is plenty more to look at in the Core Shack. The words on many lips lately have been “White Gold”. This project is generating a lot of excitement, and Underworld has come to Roundup. They can be found in the Core Shack with many beautiful and tantalizing samples. The Shack’s exhibitors change daily, so make sure you check the daytimer to catch your favourites.
The Core Shack: a good place to look at tubes of rock!
